Martinez, GA – Entered into rest at her residence surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 25, 2017, Mrs. Adele Crawford Rogers, 86, loving wife of 63 years to the late Rollin “R.T.” Rogers.
Mrs. Rogers has been a member of Riverview United Methodist Church since 1967 and retired as a receptionist at J.B. White’s Hair Salon after 35 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling, especially to the beach, and bus tours. Mrs. Rogers was a loving and devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Family members include her sons: Dale Rogers (Pat) of Grovetown, GA, Alan Rogers (Becky) of Matthews, GA; daughters: Nancy Rogers Street (Danny) of Evans, GA, Lorene Rogers Clark (Sammy) of Martinez, GA, Elaine Rogers Daniel (Mike) of Evans, GA, Terri Rogers Dailey (Danny) of Evans, GA; granddaughters: Stephanie Street Nichols, Jamie Clark Bradford, Natalie Daniel Gay, Kristen Dailey Kennedy; 16 great grandchildren; brother: Pierce Crawford; and multiple nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Crawford and Alma Hardy Crawford, brother, Richard Crawford, sister, Sara Crawford Reid, and daughter-in-law, Cathy H. Rogers.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Larry Harmon and Rev. Mark Maund officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Ryan Daniel Street, Jason Thomas Rogers, Brian Alan Rogers, Christopher Wayne Rogers, Eric Wayne Clark, Michael Patrick Daniel and Joshua Wayne Dailey.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
