Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, May 15, 2017, Harry I. Bachelder, III, age 74, loving husband of the late Cheryl Ann Walker.
Mr. Bachelder was a native of Connecticut and longtime resident of Augusta, Georgia. He was very involved in his churches both St. John of the Cross and St. Mary on-the-Hill. Mr. Bachelder enjoyed working closely with his boys at the family business. In his free time he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
Family members in addition to his wife, include sons: Peter T. Bachelder (Cindy), Jeffrey R. Bachelder (Tiffany); daughter: Kristen Lupro (Jeffery); grandchildren: Palmer T. Bachelder, Lawson W. Bachelder, Maggie Walker Bachelder, J. Harris Bachelder, Tanner B. Bachelder, J. Beckett Bachelder, Wyatt A. Lupro, Dylan Lupro, Miranda Priester (Jordan); great granddaughter: Scarlett Priester; brother: Thomas Bachelder (Maureen).
A funeral Mass will be Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Middlebury, Ct. Burial will follow at Lake Elise Cemetery. The family will receive Sunday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 at Jenkins-King Funeral Home in Ansonia, CT (203-735-0036)

In Augusta, a memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. Mary on-the Hill Catholic Church, Fr. Lou Lindsey, celebrant. The family will receive friends following the service the home of Pete and Cindy Bachelder.
