Evans, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, August 3, 2017, Mr. Jesse Royal Hoyt, 90, loving husband of 66 years to Yoshiko Hoyt.
Mr. Hoyt was born in Wisconsin, raised in Detroit, MI but has lived in Evans for several years. He retired from the United States Army Signal Corp. He was a runner with the Augusta Striders Club and a member of Martinez United Methodist Church for many years.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his sons: the late Chester, John, Thomas, and George (Kristine); daughter: Betty Smith (Bud); 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and sister: Rev. Donna Osterhout.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
