Augusta, GA-Mrs. Judith Laine West, 77, wife of William E. West, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017.
Judy, native of Elkins, WV, has resided in Hephzibah, GA for the past 41 years. She was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church. In addition to her work as a beautician, Judy held her real estate license and owned her own macramé shop. She enjoyed crafting, cooking, and crocheting, but mostly helping others and caring for family. Judy was a devoted wife and mother who touched many people’s lives with her compassion.
Judy leaves behind her husband of 61 years: William Ellis West; son: William David West and wife Gina; grandchildren: Amanda, Chad and wife Amy, Delayna, Kaitlyn, and Reed West; brother: Berry Taylor and his wife Patty; half-brothers: Reed and Roy Taylor; and half-sisters: Regina Wheeler, Jackie Carper, and Barbara Erny. She was preceded in death by her son: Randy Ellis; parents: Walter and Marguerite Taylor; and half-sister: Rita Price.
The funeral service will be Sunday, March 26, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Don Prosser officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
