Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, December 30, 2017, Mrs. Kaye Spires Morris, 62, loving wife of the late Gene Morris.

Mrs. Morris was born in Walterboro, SC but lived most of her life in Augusta. She was Director of Christian Ministries for the Augusta Association of Baptist Churches for the last several years. Mrs. Morris was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She never met a stranger and was always willing to give of herself to others in need.

Family members include her son: Wade Griffin (Roxana); daughter: Krystal Griffin Vogtner (Zack); step-daughter: Dana Whitaker (Kent); mother: Catherine Brooks (Carroll); grandchildren: Austin Griffin, Josh Griffin, Wilson Vogtner, Tucker Whitaker and Tyson Whitaker. She was predeceased by her father: George Spires; brother: Andy Spires; and sister: Pat Pinkleton.

The memorial service will be Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 5:30P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Michael Davenport and Dr. Dwayne Boudreux officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
