Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, June 4, 2018, Mrs. Lorraine F. Thaler, 82, loving wife of 62 years to George D. Thaler.
Lorraine was a native of Tyndall, SD, and moved to Augusta in 1965 where she raised her family. She is preceded in death by her parents: Helen and William Pravecek, her sisters: Irene Solo and Margie Kafka and her brother: George Pravecek. Lorraine was a devout Catholic and active member of St Mary on the Hill as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also an active member of Red Hats. She loved to sew and do crafts.
Family members, in addition to her husband, include daughters: Debbie DeRoller (Frank), Diana Werkmeister (Dean); grandchildren: Jessica Werkmeister, Adam Werkmeister, Rebecca Ross, Sara Shadwick and Shaun Young; great grandchildren: Chris Ross, Alexis Ross, Katie Ross, Michael Ross, Ava Shadwick, Michael Nelson; sister: DeLoris Zelenka; brothers: Raymond Pravecek and Lawrence Pravecek.
A funeral Mass will be Thursday, June 7, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Jacek Szuster celebrant. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. A Vigil service will be Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
