Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, October 11, 2017, Louise Poppell, 81, loving wife of 60 years to the late Jack C. Poppell, Sr. who went to be with the Lord two months prior.

Louise was a farm girl from Plainview, TX. She graduated from Plainview High School, met the love of her life and moved to Augusta. Mrs. Poppell and her family were raised in Crawford Avenue Baptist Church and was a member of the Women’s Bible Study Fellowship. As a wife, mother and grandmother she always put others before herself, Mt 22: 37-39

Family members include sons: Cliff Poppell (Windy) and Kuenn Poppell; daughter: Elaine McFeely (Gregg); and grandchildren: Lindsay Hall (Drew), Matt Poppell, Brooke McFeely and Ryan McFeely.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel at Warren Baptist Church with Rev. Drew Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crawford Avenue Baptist Church, 507 Crawford Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.

The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the service at the church.
