Augusta, GA – Maria D. Marshall, 67, dearly beloved wife of 27 years to Brendan Marshall, entered into rest Thursday, September 21, 2017 after a valiant struggle and long illness.

Mrs. Marshall was born in Portugal but made Augusta her home. She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Maria was a paraprofessional of Special Education at Langford Middle School for 10 years, a long term relieving teacher for Richmond County for four years and most recently at Immaculate Conception Catholic School. She was a friend and soulmate to all who needed help and consolation. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her.

Maria was the adored mother of Anna-Theresa Marshall; the beloved daughter of Serafim Pereira and Antonia Pereira (Both deceased) and the dearly loved sister of Aquilino Pereira of Portugal.

A funeral Mass will be Monday, September 25, 2017 at 12:15 P.M. at Church of the Most Holy Trinity. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Immaculate Conception School.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Immaculate Conception School (Memorials), P.O. Box 2446, Augusta, GA 30901.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
