Augusta, GA –Martha Luckey Hughes, age 89, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018. She was a native of Redland, FL but had lived in Augusta over 65 years.
She is preceded in death by her father Napoleon Luckey, mother Nettie Gay Luckey, sister Myrtis L. McCarthy, brother James Luckey, and nephews Kevin Pauley and James Luckey, Jr. She is survived by her three children Jackie and Karen Hughes of Augusta, GA and Derrick “Rick” of ID.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. John Los officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that charitable donations be made to The Assembly at Augusta, 4207 Wheeler Rd., Martinez, GA 30907 or to Piney Grove Baptist Church, 5060 Mike Padgett Hwy, Augusta, GA 30906.
