Augusta, GA – Mrs. Martha Jenkins King passed peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at her residence.

Martha was born in Nashville, TN in 1925 and was a graduate of Vanderbilt University, with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. After her career in Nursing, she was a local antique dealer and co-owner of the Downtown Antique Mall on Broad St. Martha loved her family, her friends, antiques, traveling and her cats and dogs. She was a member and former deacon at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Augusta.

Family members include her daughter: Celia K. Larson; her son: Coleman T. King, Jr. (Wende), Samuel C. King (Marie); grandson: Alexander King; granddaughters: Hannah Larson and Kendall King; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Celia Jenkins; her husband: Dr. Coleman T. King, and her son-in law: Dr. Jeffery Larson.

A service will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service starting at noon.
The family would especially like to thank her caregivers, Jessica Brigan, Kaitlyn Davis, Jackie Smith, Izella Reynolds, Marty Lennon and all the staff at Family Care and Pruitt Hospice
