Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, March 25, 2018, Mr. Elliott “Pete” Lee Prather, 75, loving husband to Gloria H. Prather.
Mr. Prather grew up in Camdon, SC and was a 1965 graduate of Clemson University, earning his Engineering degree. He was the owner of Jefferson Contractors Builders & Developers.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his sons: Tommy Meacham (Lynn) of Augusta, Chad Prather (Jade) of Ft. Worth, Pete Meadows and Amy Meadows, both of Evans; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters: Rebecca Touchberry, Gail Wyatt, and Tammy Frost; brother: William Prather, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 5th floor at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home for their compassionate care.
A memorial service will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Wade Trimmer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that monetary donations be sent to Training for Reigning Institute, 174 Mill Run, North Augusta, SC 29860.
