Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, September 18, 2017, Mr. Stephen Reader Buck, 85, loving husband of 45 years to Marcia Buck.
Mr. Buck was a member of First Baptist Church and of the Cason Bruker Sunday School Class. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Germany and Africa. He was passionate about German cars and enjoyed restoring and renovating them. For many years he worked as a Program Manager with TRW Systems on under seas surveillance systems with the U.S. and Japanese Navy.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his sons: Brian Givens and wife Margaret, Steven Givens and wife Danielle, David Buck and wife Elaine; 10 grandchildren; brother: John Foote; canine companion: Bailey; and a host of other loving family members.
A memorial service will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Storey Chapel of First Baptist Church with Rev. Chip Reeves officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Cason Bruker Sunday School Class.
