Wayne Hitt

Entered into rest Monday, September 25, 2017, Thomas W. “Wayne” Hitt, Jr., 68, loving husband of Linda Hitt.

Mr. Hitt was a native of Augusta and an entrepreneur in the real estate business. He was a longtime member of the Sertoma Club. Wayne loved a good adventure, be it flying, boating, traveling or golfing. He never met a stranger and talked to anyone who would listen.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include son: Thomas “Tommy” W. Hitt, III; step-daughter: Beth Hughes (Brian) grandchildren: Sophia Hitt, Aiden Hughes and Kelly Crawford; sister: Beverly Hitt Freeman; brother: Bruce Hitt and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Tom and Ruth Hitt; and brother: David Hitt.

A graveside service will be Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery, 198 Sweetwater Road, North Augusta, SC.

Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital of Georgia, 1446 Harper Street, Augusta, GA 30912.
