Augusta, GA – Mrs. Betty S. Swearingen, 84, entered into rest Monday, January 29, 2018.
Mrs. Swearingen was a lifelong resident of Augusta and was a member of Crossbridge Baptist Church. She loved to dance, garden and read. She also loved to travel, dine out with friends and play the piano.
Family members include her daughters: Vickie S. Cox and husband Dean, Venessa S. Cooper; grandchildren: April Murphy and husband Mike, Dean Cox, II and wife Carla, Roy Hitzeman, II, and Jess Fiatta; and 3 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery.
