Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, January 25, 2021, Mr. Billy Britton Jones, 87, husband of 63 years to Edith Mae Jones.

Billy was a native of Dodge Co., GA. He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force; after retirement he worked as a U.S. Mail Carrier. Billy was a longtime member of National Hills Baptist Church. He was a Braves baseball fan and loved bluegrass music. He was greatly loved and will be missed by family, especially his great-grandson Oliver who Billy called “little boy blue”.

Family members in addition to his wife include son: Greg Jones (Kathy); granddaughters: Jessica Jones Marshall (Tyler), Heather Jones; great-grandchildren: Oliver Marshall, Karsyn Marshall; and his sisters: Joyce Eunice, Elaine Moore. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Charles Jones, Emily Brown, Betty Pierce, Paul “Buzzy” Jones and Robert Jones.

The graveside service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Kevin Steele officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at the funeral home.
