Appling, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, September 11, 2021, Mr. Calloway L. Carn, 84, loving husband of 64 years to Joan W. Carn; children: Bill Carn (Janet), Callie Hamilton, and George L. Carn (the late Debbie); grandchildren: Christa, Nick, Zack, and Jonathan Carn, Brady, Cal, and Alex Hamilton, William and Tyler Burr; great grandchildren: Tyler, Gillian, Olivia, Analia, and Kelton; great-great grandchildren: Ryleigh and Owen; brother: George A. Carn (DeDee). He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Gertrude Carn, and sisters, Peggy Clardy (Bob) and Sibill Kellam.

Calloway was a native of Greenville, SC but has spent most of his life in Augusta. He retired after 29 years from Federal Paper Board as Machine Tender. He was a devoted family man. He spent many years coaching recreation baseball. He was an avid bass fisherman, many Clarks Hill professional guides followed him at the lake, knowing he knew where to find the fish. He was also a Braves fan.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 106 SRP Dr., Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.
