Augusta, GA - Carla Hunt Lampp entered into rest January 24, 2020. She was born at St. Francis hospital in Columbus, Georgia October 6, 1957.

Carla was born and raised in Columbus, graduating from Columbus High School in 1974. She moved to Albany with her then husband John and raised two daughters, Melissa and Jane. Carla was passionate about patriotism and an avid supporter of armed service members. She loved professional golf and always had a great golf story to tell! Carla had a strong passion for her community. She regularly contributed to positive changes and encouraged her community leaders to do the same. She had a fantastic playful sense of humor, never met a stranger she couldn’t find common ground with, was a natural at math, and loved her three grandchildren Ben, Ethan and Andrew deeply.

Carla is survived by her daughters, Melissa and Jane, and Melissa and Michael and their children Ben, Ethan and Andrew.

A memorial service will be Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
