Augusta, GA – Mrs. Constance “Connie” King Pund entered into rest Thursday, August 24, 2017, after 2 1/2 years of battling cancer.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, T. Irvin Pund. She is preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Hardy Fleming, and by her step-father, Robert A. Fleming, Jr.
Born in Augusta in 1927, Connie graduated from Monte Sano Elementary and Tubman High School, and attended the Junior College of Augusta. She began her career as a teller with C & S National Bank in Augusta and retired after 40 years from SunTrust Bank in Atlanta. She moved from her home in Decatur, GA to Brandon Wilde Retirement Community in October 2010.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her brother-in-law, Edgar R. Pund, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Pastor David Hunter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 825 Greene St., Augusta, GA or to the Life Support Endowment, c/o University Health Care Foundation, 2100 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.
