Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, Cynthia L. Bessman, 65, loving wife of the late James A. Bessman.

Cynthia was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. She was an electrical designer and retired from Bechtel and MOX Facility at SRNS. Cynthia loved her family and was passionate about having all of them together. After retiring she and her husband enjoyed traveling to different casinos together. Cynthia will always be remembered for her generosity and selflessness.

Family members include her son: Bryan Roman (Megan); brothers: Mike Colohan (Sue), Steve Colohan (Alicia), Rick Colohan (Cathy) and Kelly Colohan (Renee); sister: Jean Hudson (Scott) and many extended family members. In addition to her husband, Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Virginia Colohan; twin brother: Paul Matthew Colohan, Jr. and sister: Karen Lorraine Courter.

The funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Vernon Knight celebrant. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
