Grovetown, GA – Daniel “Danny” Whitaker, 50, entered into rest Saturday, October 27, 2018.

Mr. Whitaker is survived by his wife of 26 years: Beverly Whitaker; daughter: Hannah Joy Whitaker; parents: Ronnie & June Whitaker; sister: Rhonda Purdy (Chris); nephews: Will Purdy, Justin Purdy & James Purdy; father-in-law: Rev. Robert W. Riley

Born in Augusta, GA, Danny graduated from Evans High School and Augusta Technical Institute. He was a senior Production Operator for BASF in Freeport, TX and a former Chemical Operator at DSM/ Fibrant in Augusta. Danny was a member and former leader in the Kiokee Kruisers Car Club, and a founding member of the Cruisers for Christ Car Club. He enjoyed participating in area cruise-ins and parades with his own 1957 Chevy Belair and 1968 Chevy Camaro. Danny also enjoyed being anywhere near the water, whether it was the lake or the ocean.

Known for his love of his family and the pride he took in his work, Danny enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his beloved daughter Hannah. He is gone too soon.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Kiokee Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Hartman officiating. Burial will be private. Pallbearers will be Tony Muni, Wesley Taylor, Patrick Clark, Mike Sumner, Dale Krosting, Eric Hinds & Shane Hobson
