Dinna Hammett

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, April 1, 2020, Mrs. Dinna I. Hammett, 90, wife of the late Mr. George E. Hammett.

Dinna was born in Kiffisia, Greece and lived in Augusta since 1965. She was a retired Register Nurse and longtime member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.

In addition to her late husband, surviving family members include her daughter: Angela Black; grandson: Wesley Black (Kimberly); granddaughter: Rachel Murray (Scott); great-grandchildren: Briana Black, Logan Black, Luke Murray, and Benjamin Murray.

A private funeral service was held Friday, April 3, 2020 in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Fr. Vasile Bitere, celebrant. Interment was at Westview Cemetery.
