Evans, GA – Entered into rest Monday, August 6, 2018, Mr. Donald L. Farr, 81, loving husband of 59 years to Patricia “Pat” Spires Farr.

Mr. Farr was a native of Bath, SC and lived in Augusta for most of his life. He retired after 37 years from Pet Dairy. After retirement he went to work for Murray Biscuit Company another 15 years until retiring for a second time. Mr. Farr’s greatest love was his family, although he enjoyed old westerns and took great pride in his yard.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his son: Richard Farr (Karen M. Barnes); daughter: Gina Scarboro (Bobby); grandsons: Jason Scarboro (Katie), Brandon Scarboro (Amber Stanton), Damian Farr, and Dylan Farr (Melony). Brother and sister in law: Bob and Jackie Spires. He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred Farr and Jennie Richardson; and his brother: Fred Farr Jr.

A funeral service will be Thursday, August 9, 2018, 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Dusty Wammack officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, and Herbert Moore and Michael Fischer.
