Augusta, GA - It is with much sadness that the family of Mrs. Donna Lee Meisner announces her passing on December 29, 2018 at the age of 85.

Born on the 15th of June, 1933 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she was one of three children. As a child she lived on a small farm in rural Pennsylvania, then in a Methodist children’s home with her siblings.

She graduated high school in 1951 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, then went on to become an electronic technician for AT&T. In December of that same year, she married George Donald Meisner, who preceded her in passing. Though, while widowed, Donna did find love and companionship in Kenny Odeen. The two formally acknowledged their commitment with a ceremony at Advent Lutheran Church.

She was always very active in the church, and it was where she made many friends from her childhood to adulthood. She worked tirelessly for GAP ministries for many years. Giving back to the church and using it as a tool to help others was important to her, and it was one of her most admirable qualities.

Donna will be remembered fondly by her sons Robert, George Jr., David and Larry, and her daughter Judy. She was a loving grandmother to 8 and a great grandmother to 2, and they will all miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity on the Hill United Methodists Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 12, 2019. The family will hold a private burial ceremony at Georgia National Cemetery at a later date where she will be placed next to her late husband.
