Evans, GA – Eileen Cooper Martin passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021 at Brandon Wilde.

Born in Maysville, GA Eileen was raised in Lincolnton, Georgia, she graduated with honors from Lincoln County High School and attended Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. After college, Eileen’s family moved to Augusta where she worked for the Richmond County Clerk of Courts office for seven years. She then served for 20 years as Minister’s Secretary at First Baptist Church for Dr. R. J. Robinson, Dr. George Ballentine, Dr. Charles Bugg and Dr. Tim Owings. Eileen was a devoted member of First Baptist Church since 1951 where she was a member of the Anna Bannister Sunday School class and a former member of the Clara Wade and Martha Tanner mission groups.

Family members include two sons: Stanley Edgar Martin, Jr. (Donna) and Ronald Preston Martin (Traci); six grandchildren: Britt Trulock (Ross), Preston Martin (Sarah), Carter Martin, Cooper Martin, Griffin Martin and Beau Martin; four great grandchildren: Hix Trulock, Kennedy Trulock, Wynn Martin and Ridgely Martin. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Journey Preston and Mildred Underwood Cooper, her brother, James Preston Cooper and her husband of 72 years, Stanley Edgar Martin.

A private memorial service for family only will be held.
