Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, August 23, 2018, Mr. Frank Tison Barbee, 82, loving husband of 58 years to Mrs. Eleanor H. Barbee.

Mr. Barbee graduated from the University of Georgia class of 1957 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He served active duty with the U.S. Army Reserve, stationed in Fort Ritchie, MD, where he met his future wife, Eleanor Hartle. In 1959, Frank started with Babcock & Wilcox in Research and Development then transferred to Sales in Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Chicago, then returned to Augusta in 1977 as National Sales Manager for the division which was later named Thermal Ceramic. He retired after 40 years in 2000. Mr. Barbee was a Paul Harris Fellow with the Augusta West Rotary, a member of West Lake Country Club, LDGA, First Baptist Church of Augusta, Caring Co-ed Sunday School Class and Civil War Roundtable.

Family members, in addition to his wife include son: Kevin Barbee of Newnan, GA; daughter: Sharon Barbee of Sugar Hill, GA; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law: Billie Barbee and Johnnie Barbee. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Gordon Barbee and Jimmy Barbee.

A memorial service will be Sunday, August 26, 2018, 2:00 P.M. in Storey Chapel at First Baptist Church of Augusta with Rev. Will Dyer and Kenneth Word officiating.
