Glenda "Mamaw" Jarrett

Glenda Hall Jarrett, age 70, of Graniteville, SC passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 17, 2019 with family by her side.

Born March 29, 1949 in Greenwood, SC, she was the daughter of Glen Hall and Leila Mae Hall. Glenda retired from Savannah River Site after many years of dedicated service and was a former employee of Project Access. Glenda had lifelong passions of traveling to Edisto Beach, enjoying The Great Smokey Mountains, spending time with her family, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers. She loved the outdoors, often spending many mornings bird watching; she loved spoiling her grandchildren, even her furry one (Bama); she loved to try new things, especially new recipes and restaurants! Glenda never met a stranger, and she was best known for her outgoingness and spontaneity.

Glenda is preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister, Helen Edwards, and her best friend, Rebecca.

Her surviving family members are numerous. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Brennen Jacobs, Sean Hall and his wife Sherry; her daughter : Melanie Martin; grandchildren: Brooke Negrete (Elias), and Travis Broome (Briana), Sean Hall II, Seth Farrow, and Jarrett Walker; great-grandchildren: Lucas Negrete and Emma Broome; her great-granddog: Bama; and many other family members and friends. The legacy of Glenda’s compassion and love will live on through those who knew her.

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Glenda during her 70 years, among them: Enjoy the journey. Eat the cake. Be yourself. Stay humble. Say what you need to say. Love with all you have. Live in the moment. Make memories.

There will be a celebration of life held on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 11 am – 12 pm at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors. A visitation will immediately follow the service. Glenda has requested that anyone in attendance please wear bright ‘happy’ colors.

If you wish, memorial donations may be made in Glenda’s honor to “Mercy Trail” (3522 Harrison Pike W, Cleveland, TN 37311), a missionary group dedicated to provide meals and worship with Native American families across the United States.

Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
