Grady Dexter Stille

Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, July 25, 2022, Mr. Grady Dexter Stille, 93, loving husband of 72 years to Mrs. Peggy Ann Stille.

Grady was born in Nunez, GA, and moved to Augusta in 1951 where he began his career at DuPont in electrical instrumentation for 37 years. Grady served in the U.S. Army and was a Mason at Fleming Lodge No. 718 F&A.M. He was a longtime member of Pine Hill Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and taught Sunday school and most recently a member of Hopeful Baptist Church.

Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Tom Stille (Tracy) Darlene Bodie (Andy); Timothy Stille (Sherry) Kimberly Nolin (Ricky) and Keith Stille (Sonya); grandchildren: Greg Stille, Chris Stille, Evan Stille, Brandon Sitton, Brett Sitton, James Reid, Joshua Reid and Grady Bodie, Michael Scott Stille, Kushara Turner, Angel Yelton and Travis Micots, Jonathan Barefield, Jeremy Nolin, Alayna Nolin, Keith Stille II, Savannah Stille, Jacob Stille and Noah Stille and many loved great grandchildren. Grady was preceded in death by his daughter: Patricia Lee Stille; his parents George and Mittie Stille and seven siblings.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Greg Glover officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
