Harold “Bull” Hodgens

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, December 31, 2020, Mr. Harold “Bull” Hodgens, 91, loving husband of Gwen H. Hodgens.

Bull was a veteran of the United States Army and obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Georgia. He also received his doctorate from Dougway Proving Grounds and retired from DuPont and SRS. Always humble, his family never really knew how intelligent he was until they had the opportunity to examine his school and military records. He was the type of person that you liked or didn’t like the first time you met him. If he liked you then you were special to him for life. Bull had the biggest heart any man could have and will be missed by all who knew him.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Denise Wansley (Jim) and Rev. Hal Hodgens; stepchildren: Cathie Lindler (Glen), Nancy Tajalle (Larry), Monty Miller (Kimberly), and Sherry Atkins; grandchildren: Matt Wilson (Leigh Ann), Meghan Wages (Brian), Blair Spivey, Carolyn Meadows (Bob) and James Hodgens; several great grandchildren; and brothers: Ronald Anderson and Bruce Anderson.

The funeral service will be private.
