Graniteville, SC – Entered into rest Friday, December 8, 2017, Mr. James Fred Street, Jr., 75, loving husband of Becky D. Street.
Mr. Street was a native of Newberry, SC but lived in Augusta for 52 years. He was a Master Cosmetologist and owned and operated Fred’s Stylon for 50 years. Fred never met a stranger and his clients and coworkers were a second family. In his free time Fred could never get enough of his grandbabies and had a lifelong love of horses. He owned and boarded horses at the Triple F Ranch.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his son: Lee Street (Linda);
grandchildren: Anderson Street, Miles Street, Hannah Petoia; sisters: Freddie Mills (W.H.), and Nancy Griffith. He was predeceased by his parents: James and Geneva Street; son: Adam Street; and sisters: Mary Lewis, Martha Hamm and Gloria Alred.
A memorial service will be Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Brother Christopher Dickert and Rev. Thurman Norville officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Boulevard, Augusta, GA 30909.
