James William Morris

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, February 14, 2021, Mr. James William Morris, 86, beloved husband of Ruby P. Morris.

Bill was a native of Augusta. He served in the Navy and retired from the VA Hospital Lynwood Division as a nursing assistant. Bill was a member of Martinez Masonic Lodge.

Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Deborah Cox, Daryl Morris, and Sheri Jasmin (Jason) brothers Donald Morris (Linda), Aubrey Morris, sisters Alice Breithaupt (Mel) and Eleanor Granger. He was preceded in death by his son: James Richard Morris; parents: James Nelson Morris and Annie Mae Rice Morris; sister: Peggy Morris; and brothers: Jack Morris and Winston Morris.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 12:30 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park Pastor Mike Cope officiating.

At the Family’s request please wear a mask.

Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Pines Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
