Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, September 9, 2016, Mr. Jan “Coach P” Puczkowski, 67, loving husband to Patsy Y. Puczkowski.
Mr. Puczkowski retired as an elementary school physical education teacher from the Richmond County Board of Education. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church and was a 1971 graduate of The Citadel.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his sons: Eric Joachim Puczkowski of Augusta and Ian Puczkowski of Savannah; mother: Karin Puczkowski of Camden, SC; sister: Dagmar McCaskill and husband Larry of Camden, SC; and his two best friends: BooBoo and Harley. He is preceded in death by his son, Jahn Erhard Puczkowski.
The family would like to thank Dr. Adam Berman and the Cardiac Staff at Augusta University Medical Center for their professional care.
A memorial service will be Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son.
Memorials contributions may be made to Cardiology at Augusta University Medical Center, 1120 15th Street Augusta, GA 30912-5563.
