Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, February 12, 2021, Jeanette Julia Gibbs, 89, beloved wife of the late Iniard “Doc” Gibbs.

Jeanette was a native of McCormick County, SC. She worked as a bookkeeper at J.B. Whites for a number of years. She also worked for her husband at Gibbs Tractor Company, as well as at his logging and sanitation businesses. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also very selfless and giving. At family gatherings, she always saw to it that her family had more than enough food even if there was none left for her. She was affectionately known as Nanny.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her daughters: Janet McKinney (Joel), Judy Roberts (Bill); twin brother: Gene Jennings (Barbara); grandchildren: April Hutto (Gerald), Kelly Nichols, Krissy Barton, Billy Roberts, Wes Roberts (Joy), Emily Lloyd (John); great-grandchildren: Brandon and Nathan Hutto, Jason Miller, Nyah and Noah Nichols, Justin and Landon Watkins, Gibbs Roberts, and Melody Roberts. Mrs.Gibbs is also survived by her beloved dachshund, Molly.

The graveside service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Kenney officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
