Jerry Kelley Wren, 93, entered into rest on Monday, September 13, 2021.
Jerry was born in Wrens, GA, in 1927 to William J. and Corrie Kelley Wren. He graduated first in his class from Wrens High School, and went on to earn two degrees from Georgia Tech, where he served as president of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He also served a year in the U.S. Army just as WWII was drawing to a close.
In 1951, Jerry began his engineering career with DuPont at what is now the Savannah River Site. He retired in 1982 to spend time enjoying travel, golf, and fishing.
Jerry is survived by one daughter, Krista Weigle (Dan); five grandchildren: Jennifer Tribble (Bobby), Ashley Yonce (Mark), Brad Goodwin (Brie), Alexis Wren, and Carlton Wren; and six great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Betty, daughter Elizabeth Goodwin, and son Jerry Kelley Wren, Jr.
