Evans, GA – Entered into rest Monday, December 31, 2018, Mrs. Jo Winnie Maddox, 92, loving wife to the late Ridell Wilton Maddox, Jr.

Mrs. Maddox was a native of Barnwell, SC but has lived in Augusta/Evans for many years. She retired as a secretary from the Church of the Most Holy Trinity. She enjoyed working with flowers and plants, feeding the birds, and cooking. She also enjoyed playing cards, and going on trips with the seniors. She lived a simple life but liked to keep busy. Mrs. Maddox was her happiest with all her family together and will be missed by all who knew her.

Family members include her son: Francis Maddox (Lisa); daughter: Mary Holiway (George); 9 grandchildren: Patrick (Megan), Rachel (Chris), Robbie, Danny (Tiffany), Evan (Morgan), Kendall, Joey, Michael, and Russell; 7 great grandchildren: Braden, Bree, Aiden, Keilin, Anna, Ava, Savannah, and Finn; sister: Mae Morris; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her mother: Sallie Tucker Morris; father: Linnie B. Morris; and son: Joseph Walter Maddox (Joey).

A graveside service will be Friday, January 4, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Fr. Mark Ross officiating.
