Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, August 28, 2021, Mr. John Calvin Forrester, 84, loving husband of 41 years to the late Charlotte Forrester.
John was born in Dalton, GA to the late Jesse and Mildred Forrester. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 21 years of service. In retirement, John enjoyed writing, reading, history, and most of all spending time with his family. He was loving, caring, and made time for his family at any moment’s notice. He was known as “Papa” since his grandkids came along. We always knew if you needed words of wisdom, he always had the best advice. His presence in our lives will be sorely missed.
Family members include his daughters: Wendy Reece (Rusty), Stephanie Turner (Joe), and Ami Beck (Jason); grandchildren: Kyle Reece, Hunter Reece, Joseph Turner (Yara), Jacob Turner, Tyler Bennett, and Zoe Bennett; great granddaughter: Luna Turner; and many extended family members.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
