Augusta, GA – Mr. John Thomas Smith, 58, entered into rest Thursday, September 20, 2018.
Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of Augusta, GA and a 1978 graduate of Westside High School. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid UGA football fan.
Family members include his daughter: Meaghan S. Whitledge (Jason); son: Ryan Dunaway Smith (Beth); 5 grandchildren; brother: Keith W. Smith of Augusta; and 1 nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas L. Smith of Taliaferro Co, Georgia and Rubye Dunaway Smith of Harlem, GA.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A private graveside will be held at a later date.
The family requests guests wear their best UGA Gameday attire to the visitation.
