Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, July 25, 2018, Mr. Joseph ”Joe” Leroy Drake, 85, husband of Mrs. Billie F. Drake.
Mr. Drake retired after 23 years from the US Army as a Master Sergeant. He was an electrician and a member of the Master City Riders. Joe was an avid golfer.
Family members, in addition to his wife include sons: Floyd Mitchell “Mitch” Drake (Sharon), Joel “Keith” Drake; grandchildren: Jeffrey Ryan Drake (Amy), Marcell Drake (Jayson); great grandchildren: Alyce, Addison, Anna, Sara, Chevy, Krissa; and brother: Robert Joel Drake.
A funeral service will be Monday, July 30, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Burns United Methodist Church with Rev. John Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors accorded.
In lieu of flowers the family requests charitable donations be made to Burns Memorial United Methodist Church, 2372 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
