June Darden

Augusta, GA – Mrs. June Darden, 77, loving wife of George B. Darden, Sr. entered into rest Thursday, October 7, 2021.

June was born in Augusta, GA on November 14,1943, the oldest daughter of seven children to the late Marie and Winton Saxon. She retired from Southern Bell after 31 years. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, George Darden.

June was previously married to Sid Reaves for 18 years and is survived by two children: Pam Reaves and Kim Kelly (Dennis) and one granddaughter: Alex Kelly; however, our childhood friend, Rhonda Kitchens Bartles, was always her favorite.

George’s children are George Darden, Jr. (Kelly), David Darden (Deanna), Marji Pretzello (Mike); five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held Monday, October 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
