Karin Yost

Augusta, GA – Karin Yost, born Karin Hoffbauer went home to be with the Lord in the early morning of August 18, 2021 at her home in Dallas, Texas with her twin daughters by her side.

She was born in Breslau, Germany in December 1938. Karin pursued languages and business at Syracuse University in New York. After completing her studies in the US, she became an interpreter for Krupp in Germany. She later met the man she would marry, Henry F. Yost, M.D. They were together for 33 years and raised twin girls in Augusta, Georgia.

Those who knew Karin loved her humor, her elegance, her charm, her energy and her no-nonsense attitude.

She will be laid to rest at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta, Georgia next to her husband, Henry and near her parents.

She leaves behind her twin daughters, Nicole P. Yost, M.D. and Michelle M. Yost, Pharm.D. as well as a large group of friends.
