Augusta, GA – Kathy Beeson, 61, entered into rest Thursday, August 9, 2018.

The loving wife of Timothy Beeson, M.D., Mrs. Beeson was a long-time member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in Georgia for more than a decade. She was also a familiar face in Columbia County schools as a regular substitute teacher and volunteer. An artist, Mrs. Beeson was frequently commissioned to create murals, which can be found throughout Augusta. Above all, she loved her family and took pride in taking care of her husband and children and cooking them world-class meals.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her sons, Taylor Beeson (Phoebe), of Jacksonville, FL, and Sam Beeson (fiancée Tara Skelley), of Columbus, GA; daughter, Leigh Beeson, of Athens, GA; surrogate daughter, Carrie Stewart, of Augusta; two soon-to-be-born grandchildren; brother, Bryant Frazier; and sisters, Lea Frazier and Gina Polcyn.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Dr. Danny Barton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Golden Harvest Food Bank, 3310 Commerce Drive, Augusta, GA 30909.

The family will receive friends at the church for one hour following the service.
