Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, April 3, 2018, Lee E. Gunn, 83, loving husband of Stella Gilbert Gunn.
Mr. Gunn was a member and Deacon at Pine View Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for the Senior Men’s Sunday School Class. He was a retired manager at Pioneer Credit Company. Mr. Gunn loved the Lord and his family he found the good in everybody. He especially enjoyed telling stories from the past.
Family members, in addition to his wife include his daughter: Pam Melton (Jerry) of Evans; son: James Lee Gunn of Martinez; grandchildren: Traci Melton, Derrick Smith (Laura); great grandchildren: Audrey and Caleb; sisters: Betty Faye Blackburn and Virginia Ann Minton.
The funeral service will be Friday, April 6, 2018, 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at West View Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Men’s Sunday School Class.
The family requests in lieu of flowers charitable donations should be made to Pine View Baptist Church Building Fund, 119 Pleasant Home Road, Augusta, GA 30907.
