Leta was born and raised in Thomas county Georgia in October of 1928. She is preceded in death by both her parents, William and Belle Floyd, as well as her 11 siblings and her son, Kerry, and husband, George.
Left to cherish memories of her are her 3 sons: George “Don” Allmond and wife Denise of Grovetown, GA, Thomas “Tommy” Allmond and wife Wanda of Pavo, GA, and Mark Floyd Allmond and wife Ellen of Hendersonville, NC; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Leta has resided in Thomasville, Coolidge, Athens, Glenville, Perry, Meigs, Jeffersonville, Blakely, Buckhead, Evans and Grovetown, Ga.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivett Baptist Church Cemetery in Garfield, GA.
