Lois Virginia Howell

Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, August 8, 2022, Mrs. Virginia Strickland Howell, 97, loving wife of the late Mr. Claude M. Howell.

Virginia was born in Statesboro, GA but lived many years in Hephzibah. She was the owner and operator of Howell Bookkeeping and Foods for Better Living in Augusta. Virginia enjoyed reading and working in the yard. She always did for others and cherished her family with all of her heart.

Family members include her daughter: Patricia Johnson (Billy); grandchildren: Michelle Howell Tedder (Tracy), Brandon Johnson (Becky) and Jennifer Doggette (Nick); great grandchildren: Jacob, Addison, Trystin and Savannah. In addition to her husband Virginia was preceded in death by her son: Barry D. Howell; sister: Helen Bilby and brother: Harry Strickland.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. John Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M.
