Louise Hensley

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, April 2, 2021, Marjorie Louise Hensley, 95, wife of the late Leo C. Hensley.

Mrs. Hensley was born in Campobello, South Carolina and graduated from Campobello High School. She attended Winthrop College and held a career in cosmetology for 35 years. She moved to Augusta in 1955 and was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church. The family would like to give a special thanks to Cindy Nelson and the ladies on the Assisted Living Floor at St. John’s Towers and the Trauma team and Neuro ICU team at Augusta University.

Family members include her children: Brenda Readdy (William) of North Augusta, Robert Burnette (Margaret) of Pauline, SC; siblings: Ruth Williams of Hiram County, Marvin Whitfield Wall Jr.; 5 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband: Leo C. Hensley; sister: Nita Wilson; and parents: Marvin and Nannie Lou Wall.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 5, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Michael Freed officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family request guests please wear mask. The service will be live streamed on the Thomas Poteet & Son Facebook page.
