Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, July 31, 2018, Mrs. Marion Irvin Hill, 88, loving wife of 65 years to John R. Hill.

Mrs. Hill was born in Jacksonville, FL, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Callahan. She attended Florida State receiving a bachelor’s degree and the University of Florida graduate school. Mrs. Hill taught 2nd grade at Southside Elementary School in Jacksonville for 30 years. Having lived in Augusta for the last 10 years, she attended First Baptist of Augusta

Family members, in addition to her husband, include a sister: Fay Irvin Mehrhof. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Consuela Irvin and her sister: Barbara Irvin Nichols.

The funeral service will be Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Timothy L. Owings officiating. The family will receive friends Friday beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Jones Cemetery, Callahan, FL on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 1:30 P.M.
