Mark A. Corulli

Mark Angelo Corulli, 59, of Evans, Georgia, died peacefully at home on Sunday, July 14th after a two-year battle with brain cancer.
Mark was born in Costa Rica as his family was traveling from Washington State to the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. After a short time in Ecuador he returned with his family to the family cattle ranch and pear orchard in Chelan Washington. Mark graduated from Chelan High School, joined the Air Force Reserve, and eventually completed his degree in Nursing. Mark then transitioned to the Army Nurse Corps reserves and was commissioned as an Army officer eventually serving over 22 years in the active reserve. He spent six months on active duty in 1990-91 as his unit provided aeromedical evacuation support for casualties during Desert Storm.
In 1990 Mark met, and immediately fell in love with, his future wife, Anna, a Captain in the Army at the time. They married in 1991 and started their adventure together. Mark and Anna lived in Tacoma, Washington; Rolla, Missouri; Leavenworth, Kansas; Columbus, Georgia (where their twin boys were born), San Antonio, Texas (where their youngest son was born); Washington, DC; Honolulu, Hawaii; and Evans, Georgia.
Mark loved helping anyone in need and found his calling in Emergency Nursing. He worked at various ER’s as he and Anna and the boys moved with the Army. His last work experience was in the Emergency Department at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. His love and compassion for those who serve or have served our nation, and the families that support them, made his final years as an RN his most treasured. Mark was the troubadour of the ER and could often be heard playing his guitar and singing in his favorite stairwell after his shift. At Eisenhower he also had the privilege of working with an extraordinary group of nurses, medics, clerks, physicians, and managers. He always looked forward to his shift and never failed to come home with a smile.
Mark is survived by his wife, Anna, and their three boys: Charlie, Christian, and Marcus; his parents: Cecil and Deloris Corulli of Chelan Washington; his siblings: Chuck Corulli, Dave Corulli, Lori Corulli, and Matt Corulli all of Washington State; and numerous nieces and nephews brothers and sisters-in-law.
