Martha Willadean Bryant McCurry

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, July 29, 2022, Mrs. Martha Willadean Bryant McCurry, 90, loving wife of the late Joseph “Joe” B. McCurry.

Dean was a native of Oglethorpe County but made Augusta her home for many years. She loved fishing, traveling, camping with her late husband Joe, was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed cooking for her family. She also liked tending to her flowers and working outside. Dean had a habit of saving every greeting card she was ever given and still had them until she passed.

Family members include her children: Vickie Boyd (Robert), James Michael Wheeler, Wanda Linderman, Barry Wheeler (Lisa), and Donna Hasler (Tony); 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister: Marjorie Maxey; and brother: Paul Bryant (Pat). In addition to her husband Joe, she is preceded in death by her late husband and father of her children, James F. Wheeler.

The funeral service will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Robert A. Boyd, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kyle Boyd, Kurt Boyd, Ross Wheeler, Wesley Wheeler, Tanner Wheeler, Trevor Wheeler, Alex Hasler, Nick Hasler, and Tim Harley.
