North Augusta, SC – Entered into rest Saturday, September 29, 2018, Mr. Melvin Warren Westbrook, 93, loving husband of Rebecca Westbrook.
Mr. Westbrook served in the United States Navy and Naval Reserves and retired from Monsanto Chemicals after 20 years. He enjoyed model airplanes, fishing, and spending time at the lake.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughters: Carolyn Wilson and Tonya Huffman; grandchildren: Michelle Huffman Harrison (Mark), Wayne “Bo” Huffman, and Robert “Bobby” Wilson (Tiffany); step-son: Douglas Todd; step-daughter: Stacy Garrick; 4 step-grandchildren, and sister: Ellie Strength. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Florence L. Westbrook.
The family would like to thank Brookdale Assisted Living staff and Regency Hospice for their compassionate care.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
