Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, January 30, 2022, Mr. Clifford Michael Coursey, 73, loving husband of Mrs. Nancy Hicks Coursey.

Michael a native of Augusta, served in the United States Army, was in Vietnam and was the recipient of several medals, including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was Post Commander at VFW Post 3200. Michael was a dedicated employee and one of the top salesmen of Bearings and Drive Industrial for 29 years. An avid Georgia Bulldog fan, he also loved camping and fishing, everybody that met him loved him. Michael was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughter: Michelle Coursey Sheppard; grandchildren: Ashton Michael Sheppard and Ansley Mayson Sheppard; brothers: Clifford Joseph Coursey, Jr. (Kathy) and Barry Reginald Coursey (Byron); sister: Barbara Hanley (Jack) and many extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Gay Coursey.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M.
