Augusta, GA – Mildred Elizabeth Palmer Jamison, 98, of Augusta, GA, wife of the late Oran Curtis Jamison, entered into rest on November 2, 2018 at the home of her daughter, Linda Jamison Blackston, in Thomson, GA.

Mrs. Jamison was also preceded in death by her two sons, Jimmie O. Jamison and Ronnie M. Jamison, and four siblings, Winfred Palmer, Bill Palmer, Genevieve Palmer Evans, and Janice Palmer Bruner.

Family members in addition to her daughter include three granddaughters: Melanie Lynne Blackston, Melinda Leigh Blackston Gordy (Patrick), and Daralyn Christensen; three grandsons: James Derek Jamison Fitzgerald, Oran Curtis (Jamie) Jamison, II, and Travis Jamison; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandsons, and one sister: Nelda Palmer Raines.

She was born in Baker Hill, AL in 1920, but made Augusta her home since 1960. She retired from the Post Exchange, Ft. Gordon, GA in 1973. She was a member of Curtis Baptist Church, Augusta and the Happy 39’ers.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 12:00 Noon in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. David Lambert officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Family and friends may call at the residence of her daughter, Linda, in Thomson, GA.
